Kearney, NE – Injury Accident at Hwy 30 & 30th Ave

Kearney, NE (February 25, 2025) – A two-car injury crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon, February 25, at the intersection of Highway 30 & 30th Avenue, causing traffic disruptions on the west side of Kearney.  

According to Kearney Police, the crash happened around 2:00 p.m. First responders, including Kearney Police, firefighters, and paramedics, arrived promptly to secure the scene, direct traffic, and provide medical assistance to those involved. One of the cars was severely damaged and required the fire department to extract it. At least one injured individual was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further treatment.  

Kearney Police issued a public advisory on social media at approximately 2:15 p.m., urging residents to avoid the area while emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage and restore the normal traffic flow. By 3:00 p.m., authorities had reopened all lanes, and traffic conditions returned to normal.
