Lancaster Co, NE – Three Injured in Crash on NW 48th St & O St

Lancaster Co, NE (January 31, 2025) – A two-car injury crash occurred late Wednesday morning, January 29, in west Lincoln, leaving three individuals hurt. The incident happened at approximately 11:30 a.m. near the I-80 bridge at NW 48th Street and O Street.  

According to the Lincoln Police Department, a 76-year-old woman driving a Honda HR-V collided with a Kia Spectra at at the diamond crossover between West O Street and Interstate 80. The impact left the Kia Spectra’s driver, a 17-year-old girl, with severe leg injuries, while her passenger, a 16-year-old boy, and the Honda driver sustained minor injuries.  

Emergency responders, including Lincoln Fire & Rescue, arrived promptly at the scene. Firefighters assisted in extracting the victims, and all three injured individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police officers managed traffic control as crews worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the crash.
