Omaha, NE (December 15, 2024) – A serious injury pedestrian crash occurred on Wednesday evening in downtown Omaha, resulting in critical injuries to a male pedestrian. The incident was reported at approximately 6:09 p.m. at the intersection of 24th St & Douglas St. Omaha Police and Fire Departments responded swiftly to the scene.
According to the Omaha Police Department, the pedestrian, a man approximately 60 years old, was struck by a car and found unconscious but breathing when officers arrived. Emergency medical personnel from the Omaha Fire Department transported the victim, who sustained head and leg injuries, in critical condition to Nebraska Medicine.
