Omaha, NE – Two Hospitalized After Car Crash at I-80 & Giles Rd

Omaha, NE (January 5, 2025) – An injury car crash occurred early Sunday morning in southwest Omaha, leaving two individuals hospitalized with injuries. The incident happened at approximately 4:00 a.m. near I-80 and Giles Rd.  

According to Omaha Police, the two-car collision involved a sedan and an SUV. Emergency responders, including paramedics and firefighters, quickly arrived to assist. Both drivers were safely extracted from their cars and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The Omaha Fire Department worked diligently to clear the wreckage, while officers directed traffic to ensure the safety of other motorists in the area.  

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Authorities are working to determine whether factors such as speed, weather conditions, or alcohol contributed to the incident.
