Stanton, NE (November 19, 2024) – An injury head-on car crash occurred Tuesday morning on Hwy 24, two miles west of Stanton, causing significant damage to both cars and sending both drivers to the hospital.
The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office and Norfolk Fire Division responded promptly. According to Sheriff Mike Unger, an SUV traveling westbound on Hwy 24 crossed the center line and collided with a sedan heading eastbound. The force of the collision caused extensive damage to both cars, which were declared total losses.
Both drivers were transported by ambulance to Faith Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Thankfully, both individuals were wearing seat belts, which likely prevented more severe outcomes.
