Lincoln, NE (November 24, 2024)<\/b> \u2013 A serious injury car crash occurred on November 23 at the intersection of 70th and O Streets in Lincoln. The incident involved a reckless driver and resulted in critical injuries for one individual and serious injuries for two others.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Lincoln Police Department (LPD), an officer observed a Dodge Charger being driven recklessly near 84th and O Sts just after 9:00 p.m. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the driver, identified as 20-year-old Jayden Blake, fled westbound on O St. For safety reasons, the officer did not pursue but continued west, where minutes later, he discovered the Charger had collided with a Nissan Murano at 70th and O Streets.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Charger caught fire after the collision, prompting Lincoln Fire and Rescue to arrive on the scene to extract occupants from the vehicles and initiate life-saving measures. Witnesses, including Mohamed Alzayadi, described heroic efforts to rescue Blake from the flaming vehicle and assist those trapped in the Murano.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
