Lincoln, NE (February 16, 2025) <\/b>\u2013 An injury car crash occurred on February 15 in north Lincoln. The accident, which involved two cars, occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. in a driveway near the intersection of Yolande Avenue and Cornhusker Highway.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Lincoln Police Department (LPD), officers were waved down regarding a collision involving a DHS car and a second car. Reports indicate that the DHS officer was executing a deportation warrant when the incident unfolded.<\/span><\/p>\n

Authorities state that the driver of the second car pulled into a driveway, prompting the DHS officer to intervene. The driver then attempted to flee but was quickly stopped by another DHS agent. As the second car came to a sudden stop, the DHS officer\u2019s vehicle collided with it. Emergency medical services arrived on the scene, and a passenger in the second vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries.
