Lincoln, NE (May 27, 2025) – Two people were hospitalized after a rollover crash late Saturday night, May 24, in central Lincoln.

Emergency crews responded to the scene at 27th Street and O Street around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 24. Police say a red Chevy Silverado, driven by 30-year-old Nicholas Jones, was traveling east on O St. Witnesses told officers the truck was swerving and spinning its tires before Jones lost control.

The vehicle struck the median and rolled onto its side. It then crashed into a Ford Mustang traveling westbound. The driver of the Mustang suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital. A passenger in the Silverado was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Police arrested Jones at the scene. He faces a felony DUI charge for causing serious bodily harm. Investigators are still looking into the full details of the crash.
