Douglas County, NE (July 21, 2024) – A fatal car crash occurred on Sunday morning in Douglas County, claiming the lives of two individuals. The incident, reported by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, took place shortly after 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Hwy 275 and Pawnee Rd.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, a Nissan Kicks driven by Roberto Carlos Contreras Gonzalez was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided with a Volvo XC90 headed southbound. The collision resulted in both vehicles being found in the middle of the highway with significant damage. Both the driver, Roberto Carlos Contreras Gonzalez, 27, of Lincoln, and the passenger, Cinthya Y Servin-Castillo, 42, of Fremont, were pronounced dead at the scene.
