Hershey, NE (August 10, 2024) – A severe car crash on Highway 30 in Hershey on Thursday morning, August 8, left two people injured. The incident, reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, occurred at approximately 9:00 a.m. when a 23-year-old woman was driving on Highway 30. A car behind her attempted to pass and collided with a 58-year-old man in another vehicle.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office stated that the woman did not suffer serious injuries. However, the driver of the passing car fractured their neck, and the 58-year-old man was transported to the hospital with a possible broken hip and leg. Emergency responders, including firefighters, assisted in extracting the vehicles and managing the scene. Highway 30 was closed in both directions for about an hour as deputies conducted their investigation.
