Douglas Co, NE (February 24, 2025) – A two-car injury crash occurred in northwest Omaha on Thursday resulting in injuries to an adult and two children. The accident happened around 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of 204th Street and Fort Street in Elkhorn, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO).

Authorities reported that an SUV was stopped and attempting to make a left turn when a sedan rear-ended it. The impact caused significant damage to both cars. The driver of the sedan and two children were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition. Victims of car accidents may be eligible for compensation through a personal injury claim, covering medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. Common injuries include whiplash, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord damage, and broken bones. Since Nebraska follows a modified comparative negligence rule, victims can seek compensation if they are found to be less than 50% at fault. Seeking legal assistance can help injured individuals navigate the claims process and secure the compensation they deserve.
