Lancaster Co, NE (March 13, 2025) – A semi-truck injury crash occurred on Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 80, approximately 10 miles west of Lincoln, between mile markers 383 and 386. The collision resulted in the closure of the westbound lane for several hours.

According to authorities, the SUV was traveling westbound when it collided with the semi-trailer, causing significant damage to the front end of the truck. Photos from the scene show the SUV being loaded onto a wrecker while the semi-trailer suffered heavy front-end damage.

Emergency responders, including fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene. Firefighters assisted in extracting the vehicles from the roadway while paramedics transported the injured to a nearby hospital. The driver of the SUV, whose identity has not yet been released, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Bryan Health Medical Center. The truck driver, though shaken, was unharmed.

Traffic in the westbound lanes of I-80 was rerouted while authorities worked to clear the scene. The Nebraska State Patrol has confirmed that no fatalities occurred, and the crash remains under investigation.
