Omaha, NE (January 17, 2025) – A serious injury car crash occurred this evening at the intersection of 24th & Oaks Streets, leaving one person critically injured. The crash involved two vehicles and required an extensive emergency response from local authorities.

According to Omaha police, the collision happened shortly after 6:00 p.m. when one of the vehicles failed to yield at the intersection, resulting in a high-impact crash. Emergency crews, including firefighters, were dispatched to the scene to extricate occupants trapped in the vehicles. One individual sustained critical injuries and was transported to Nebraska Medicine for treatment. The other driver suffered minor injuries and was treated on-site.

Traffic in the area was redirected for several hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage and ensure the safety of all involved. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
