Palmyra, NE (January 19, 2025) – An injury car crash occurred on Thursday, January 16, at the intersection of W 7th Street and H Street in Palmyra, resulting in at least one patient being transported to a nearby hospital. The incident, reported by the Palmyra Police Department and Palmyra & Douglas Fire & Rescue, happened around 3:48 p.m.
According to authorities, two cars were involved in the crash, and emergency services responded promptly to the scene. The driver, who may have hit her head during the collision, was assessed by paramedics and subsequently transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported at the scene.
Firefighters assisted in securing the cars and ensured that the area was safe for responders and other motorists. Traffic was temporarily affected, but authorities were able to control the situation and manage the flow of vehicles as emergency teams worked on-site.
The Palmyra Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
